Historical Information
Redhead Lake was formed by Wisconsin glacier melting thousands of years ago. It has always been connected to Pistakee Lake via channel, functioning as an extension of the larger lake.
Part of the Fox River Chain, one of seven lakes connected by the Fox River along with Bluff, Fox, Pistakee, Channel, Petite, and Lake Catherine.
Originally inhabited by Miami, Mascouten, and Potawatomi tribes.
Notable Features
Quiet Extension of Pistakee – Functions as a peaceful bay of Pistakee Lake with calmer, more protected waters.
Proximity to Meyers Bay – Located near another noted good fishing area on Pistakee.
Access to Pistakee Amenities – Channel connection provides access to Famous Freddie’s Roadhouse and Pistakee marinas.
Most Intimate Lake Experience – One of the most peaceful and protected settings in the Chain O Lakes system.
